If you think you are familiar with the
sound of the banjo, you will be pleasantly surprised when you hear the musical stylings of
Chris Archer. Chris has developed a repertoire rarely seen on the banjo. He has
delighted audiences worldwide with his virtuosity and wonderful presentation of one of
America's only native instruments.
Chris began playing the banjo at the age of 11 and his family soon
discovered his insatiable appetite to master the instrument. His love for all types of
music gave him a unique quest to push the banjo in an unconventional direction. His music
has a universal appeal consisting of a wide array from Classical to Latin to Broadway.
Chris has delighted audiences in Disney World in Orlando Florida, and
was a feature performer in Branson Missouri. From 1995-1998 Chris has enjoyed and
exclusive contract with Holland America Cruise
Lines, dazzling audiences fleet-wide and around the globe with his fabulous
fingerwork.
